Brand Spotlight: Beyond Yoga

The rise of athleisure working it’s way into our day-to-day attire is no new news. In my opinion, there is one brand that deserves some extra love in a space that can be hard to stand out amongst the likes of Lululemon, Alo, and Vuori: Beyond Yoga.

In this world, fabric is the name of the game and Beyond Yoga’s Spacedye holds a special place in my heart - it feels like a warm hug while still being functional. Specifically, their SpaceDye Racerback tank top is my new go-to. Fit wise, it compares to your most form-flattering sports bra that isn’t too tight but still provides support when you are active.

Their new seasonal colors and patterns become a treat I look forward to picking another tank from & the seasonal ‘green grass heather’ color was in my cart immediately this week.

I wear these tanks around the house, with jeans or leggings when I'm out, or to the gym and they have held their color and quality through multiple washes.

I haven’t added this to my cart just yet, but I love the idea of a wrap top layered on top of the tank to elevate the look for a day-to-day simple outfit.

The Spacedye fabric is also available across Beyond Yoga’s men’s products, and it's just as perfect for everyday wear. I really do recommend checking them out.

Building Bridges Through Cultural Moments

This week, On March 1st, Bulgarian’s welcomed Spring with 'Baba Marta' (Grandmother March) day. Over the course of several days, Bulgarians exchange bracelets made of red and white threads, symbolizing health and new beginnings full of hope and optimism.

The Martenitsa (the bracelet) is worn until the first signs of spring, typically indicated by the sighting of a stork or a blossoming tree, and then is often tied to a tree branch. This weekend, if you see any blossoming trees or signs of spring please share them with me by replying to this email and lets celebrate together! (double points if you see a stork😊)

Sharing our cultural traditions is more than just passing along customs; it's about building bridges between generations, fostering understanding, and strengthening the bonds that connect us. Let's take inspiration from the Martenitsa and find ways to celebrate our own unique traditions, creating moments of joy and connection with the people we love.

3/3. Food for Thought

What's been gently lingering as something I feel I owe, to myself or another?

This can be as simple as a phone call to a loved one, or as meaningful as finding the grace and time you owe to yourself to do something that refuels you.

This ‘subliminal debt’ accumulates over time and the weight of an endless ledger can breed guilt rather than connection. What if, instead, this gentle lingering could be a quiet invitation? An invitation to take immediate action. To pay a metaphorical ‘bill’ or to cross something off your list, transforming the weight into an exhale.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me! Two weeks in! I'm so grateful you've taken the time to read and engage with the newsletter. To help me make it better, I'd love to hear any thoughts or feedback you have. Feel free to send any requests, ideas, or suggestions to [email protected]!
