On Fridays, we’ll take a breath: See below for some commentary on apparel trends I’m loving or things I’m eyeing, a fun activity to consider, and some food for thought as you enter your weekend 🙂
1/3. Food for Thought
Where are the "changing of the guards" moments happening in your life right now?
Life, much like any grand institution, has its seasons of transition. Sometimes, these shifts are undeniable: a new job, a move, or a major relationship milestone. Other times, they are far more subtle, a quiet but profound "changing of the guards" occurring within our own personal landscape.
This week, let’s consider: are there areas in your life where a significant shift is underway? It might be a re-evaluation of your mindset, a gentle (or not-so-gentle) reshuffling of your priorities, or a natural evolution in who you surround yourself with. Often, we navigate these transitions by simply "rolling with the punches," letting circumstances dictate our path. But what if we could approach these moments with more intention? This is an invitation to pause and truly carve out what your next chapter will look like.
What old patterns, beliefs, or even connections are ready to gracefully step aside, making room for new energy and clearer purpose? How can you actively shape your presence and priorities in this evolving landscape, ensuring you're not just moving forward, but truly designing your next act?
2/3. Fun!
Keeping the Spirit of Pride Alive
As the final weekend of June approaches, Pride Month will culminate in a wave of celebrations globally (New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Barcelona, Paris, Mexico City, Dublin, Denver, Oslo, Munich…to name a few). These moments are more than just parties; they are powerful affirmations of identity, expressions of hard-won freedom, and vital opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to gather in joy and solidarity. Yet, as the calendar turns from June to July, it presents a unique opportunity to consider how we can intentionally carry the profound spirit of Pride forward, ensuring that visibility and support are not seasonal but enduring.
This weekend, if you're out amidst the festivities, immerse yourself fully. But let this energy be a springboard, not a finish line. True engagement with the LGBTQ+ community extends far beyond a single month. It's about consistent support, thoughtful action, and a commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces, every single day.
The vibrant energy of Pride is a testament to resilience and joy. Let's make sure that spirit isn't confined to June, but instead becomes a year-round commitment to building a more equitable and accepting world for everyone.
What small, intentional step can you take to carry the spirit of Pride into July and beyond?

The End of an Era: Anna Wintour Steps Down at American Vogue
After an unprecedented 37-year reign, Anna Wintour has officially resigned as editor-in-chief of American Vogue. This marks the first time in nearly four decades that the coveted role has been open, sending ripples throughout the fashion world and prompting widespread speculation about what this seismic shift truly signifies.
Wintour's impact on the industry is immeasurable; she transformed the Met Gala into a global cultural phenomenon and revolutionized Vogue's covers by ushering in celebrities, forever changing the landscape of fashion imagery.
The Strategic Dance Behind the Resignation
While the news might come as a shock to some, Wintour's departure from her editorial role at American Vogue feels less like an abrupt exit and more like a calculated, strategic maneuver. For several years now, there's been a subtle but significant reorganization unfolding at Condé Nast, Vogue's parent company.
Wintour herself holds the influential titles of Global Editorial Director and Chief Content Officer at Condé Nast, roles she will retain. Her resignation from the American Vogue helm clears the path for a new 'regional head of editorial content' to be appointed, who will oversee the publication. This move appears aptly timed, allowing Wintour to dedicate even more of her considerable energy and vision to her broader responsibilities, guiding the creative direction of all titles under the Condé Nast umbrella.
What This Means for Vogue's Next Chapter
This strategic shift presents an exciting inflection point for American Vogue. While Wintour will undoubtedly retain a degree of influence, the creation of a greater degree of separation between her global oversight and the day-to-day editorial leadership of the American edition will likely usher in a new era. The individual who steps into this incredibly significant role will be encouraged, and perhaps even expected, to bring a truly fresh perspective.
This is a critical moment for Vogue to revitalize itself, much like Wintour did when she first took the reins. In an industry grappling with the decline of traditional print consumption, a bold, new vision for Vogue could be precisely what's needed to re-engage audiences and solidify its standing as the preeminent voice in fashion for years to come.
This isn't just a changing of the guard; it's an opportunity for Vogue to redefine its legacy and carve out its next iconic chapter.
