Who Needs to Hear Your "Thank You" Today?

We all have folks in our lives who sprinkle a little extra joy into our daily lives, or who've been there for us in big and small ways. Sometimes, we're so caught up in our day to day, we forget to actually tell them how much we appreciate them. I had that feeling overwhelm me this week, so sharing it with you in case you’ve felt the same.

Take a sec to think: Who's on your "thank you" list this week? A quick text, call, or even just a warm thought can go a long way in spreading some positivity 🙂

Chill Out with Homemade Popsicles

I know the easy answer for this week is to lean into going to watch the fireworks, but let's make it a bit more niche. When I think of the Fourth of July, the first image that pops into my mind is the iconic red, white, and blue popsicles. As I thought about festivities through the week, I started craving one & realized how much fun and how simple it would be to make some healthier homemade popsicles this summer. All you really need is a blender, about two cups of your fruit of choice, some water, your preferred sweetener, and popsicle molds.

Honestly, with services like Amazon Same-Day and your local grocery store procuring some popsicle molds quickly shouldn't be an obstacle. I haven't done it myself, but I found a neat TikTok that shares the process. The best part? Popsicles only take about four hours to freeze…So, you could definitely whip some up in the beginning of the day and enjoy them later that exact same day, whether you're celebrating the holiday or spending the weekend at a friend or family member's house.

Sequins For Summer?

I'm not sure what's gotten into me, but I'm noticing a revival of sequins, and I'm not mad about it for summer. It got me thinking about how a fun, colored sequined maxi can really elevate some items we may already own in our closet and give them a fresh and playful summer feel.

In my mind, to style a sequin, all you really need is a graphic tee or tank you likely already own with a playful logo, and a bag, shoes, and accessories (like a bracelet, necklace, or sunnies) that you already have on hand. I always tend to lean towards two-tone or monochromatic looks, so I played around with putting together a fun take on a sequin look.

With Fourth of July festivities this weekend, it may not hurt to dig around in your closet and see if you have something hidden that you can bring back out. Or, hopefully, this gives you an idea of something you'd want to wear on an upcoming trip or a dinner + night out!

I'm so grateful you've taken the time to read and engage with the newsletter. To help me make it better, I'd love to hear any thoughts or feedback you have. Feel free to send any requests, ideas, or suggestions to [email protected]!
